“I mainly chat” is still too vague
A person who sends a few texts each day has a different routine from someone who makes two short calls and occasionally requests images. Calling both routines “unlimited companionship” hides the units that determine cost.
FunFun AI and SoulFun both describe fictional companions, but their public material gives different kinds of purchase evidence. We have not purchased either service. This comparison concerns documented terms and a hypothetical routine, not the cost or quality of a completed session.
What SoulFun lets you calculate
SoulFun’s subscription terms assign one coin to a text message, ten coins to a voice minute and twenty coins to a video minute. Those are the rates on the reviewed page on 15 October 2026.
For a hypothetical week of 120 texts, ten voice minutes and two video minutes:
| Action | Calculation | Illustrated coins |
|---|---|---|
| Text | 120 × 1 | 120 |
| Voice | 10 × 10 | 100 |
| Video | 2 × 20 | 40 |
| Total | Sum of these three actions | 260 |
This is arithmetic using published units. It excludes photos, taxes, rollover, failures, repeat actions and any extra charges that the source does not establish. It is not a quotation from a checkout or a claim about a real account.
The implication is clear even without choosing a plan price: occasional calls can be a substantial part of a text-first budget. Counting only the number of chat sessions misses that.
FunFun separates paid text from extended-feature tokens
Sections 9–10 of the FunFun web terms describe a payment page after five messages, unlimited messaging after subscribing, and 100 monthly tokens for extended features such as image generation or voice notes. These are the published web terms reviewed on 15 October 2026, not a tested entitlement for every current account or interface.
That structure differs from SoulFun’s per-text coin accounting: a long text conversation and a media-heavy session do not consume the same type of allowance. FunFun’s cited terms do not give enough per-image or per-voice-note token detail to calculate the full media cost of our illustrated week. SoulFun’s live voice/video minutes also should not be treated as identical to asynchronous voice notes.
The separate mobile terms include a limited-period complimentary-membership statement. Do not turn it into an evergreen free plan or substitute a third-party price for a missing media conversion rate.
For an appearance-led character project, consider whether media is essential at all. A stronger written scene may improve the next conversation without adding a visual action. That is a project choice, not a product-performance claim.
Cancellation and content rules affect value
FunFun’s web terms describe My Profile → Settings → Unsubscribe, with paid access continuing until the billing period ends. They also state that remaining tokens expire at that point and do not carry into a later subscription. This makes the renewal date relevant to unused media tokens, not just future charges.
SoulFun’s stated cancellation route involves an account holder submitting a feedback-form request. Its terms distinguish stopping future renewal from receiving a refund. The difference is a documented account control versus a request channel; we did not test either process or measure request handling time.
SoulFun’s content policy also prohibits explicit sexual content and safeguard bypass. Paying for coins does not remove that restriction. A purchase made for a disallowed use is a poor fit regardless of the nominal coin price.
A useful decision
For a mostly written routine, FunFun’s published paid-text structure is relevant. For planned live calls, SoulFun’s stated per-minute units make a hypothetical budget possible. In both cases, confirm the current account offer and preserve the renewal date. The missing media rates prevent a universal cheapest verdict; the documented units and cancellation routes still give the reader a concrete basis for choosing.
